Collision meshes - question

voxel

New member
About to create my first RF model and questions about the collision meshes:

1) Convex or concave?
2) Must they be solids - no holes? (two manifold)
3) What about weighting/mass? Is the assumption is everything is more-or-less the same mass?
4) Any way to set per collision mesh mass if possible?

Just a new install of 7.5 and info box pops up saying building collision mesh, how do zi get rid of it please.

This is the wrong forum for your question. It belongs in the RealFlight 7 forum not the designer forum. Post your question there with a screen shot of what you see as the error message you see isn't a normal error message from realflight.

1) Convex or concave? The collision mesh surrounds any part you wish collisions to work with Shape is determined by the part for which the mesh is made.
2) Must they be solids - no holes? (two manifold) Never tried leaving a mesh open but they will still work if they are not water tight.
3) What about weighting/mass? Is the assumption is everything is more-or-less the same mass? Collision meshes are not a physical nor a aerodynamic part therefore weight or mass is irrelevant.
4) Any way to set per collision mesh mass if possible? See above
