Combat

Dose the Sim have combat in it I herd that some versions do . I don mind if they don’t it I may be a fun distraction som but I understand it’s a sim to simulate real life but I was just wondering?

I decided to get this at some point.

It does have that, especially as a multi-player function. It is not a full fledged "in-the-cockpit" type combat simulator with swarms of AI enemy aircraft and a bazillion weapons choices. But one can sit in the plane and blow things up (or do it from the vantage point of being at a flying field)!
It has many other single person "game" like challenges, mostly oriented toward increasing skill on the control sticks, that can be flown from the ground as a traditional RC model, or by view from behind the plane or in the cockpit. So much more than just standing at a flying field and learning maneuvers/aerobatics.

Old thread resurrection, but.....

.....So there is no combat available in Real Flight Evolution?

I bought it thinking it was one of the features, since it as advertised as a feature.

Well, it is a Radio Control Aircraft simulator...so the combat it has is focused on that style of flight - multiple planes in the air at once, viewed from the ground, trying to cut streamers or similar. When in multiplayer it does have several different types of those arial combat events.
But it is not, and likely will never be, a realistic sit-in-the-cockpit and shoot down/blow up type combat simulator. There are many of those around.
It was pretty popular with several of my club members to do this on-line, for a couple of years. It replicated what we do at the field very closely.

yes it has a free for all pvp (player vs player) combat mode on multplayer.
no it does not have pve (player vs computer) combat.
no it does not have a mode like DCS or IL-2

Thank you. Of course, I didn't buy it solely for that feature. I bought it to be used as an RC sim.

However, it is an added bonus if it can fulfill other roles too.

Thank you again.

what you can do is edit an air field.

Add the “dogfighter drone - loop” object from expansion pack 7.

Change the z value under relative position in the object properties. This value will be altitude above ground level

Save to a new name and you have a world war one biplane to chase around and shoot.

Guns and Rockets will destroy it

The biplane just flies in a big circle, but at least you can shoot it.

Add a bunch of them at different heights and have some dog fights
