I bought a Blade400 for a first heli having never flown a helicopter in my life before, so i crashed it after 6 seconds. I got G4, and taught myself how to fly my Blade400. Now i have the Blade400 w/every aluminum part you can think of on it and a Trex450 that i am comfortable in flying 
had it not been for G4. i think i would have junked that Blade400 and started driving R/C Cars instead

I like landing helos on various places on top of the crane (in this case chase view is required) in that construction yard AP. Oh and landing on the tops of the parked cars & trucks is kinda fun too.
Also, landing on top of the racing pylons... sorry can't remember the name of that air racing AP with the big grandstands and grass field that comes with G5.

Running a model out of fuel. I rarely ever do that.
Landed the MD500 on the bottom surface of the elevated train tracks
Big City, Little Chopper
or flying the contender through subway tunnels with the train passing
Patch's Deep Subway Challenge
and built a series of mazes and flew through them
G4 Killer Maze
and
Patch's Spaceship Maze RF G3.5
and
Patch's Killer Maze RF G2
This last video was probably the coolest, because I made like 15 recordings of the Sukhoi to fly in loose formation with me through it.

Coolest thing I've done? Yeah, I've landed on stuff. I've shot people down. I've even figured out heli's to an extent.
The coolest thing I've done in G5 is learn to fly the P-51 well enough that the guys thought the trainer was flying his plane while I did multiple touch and goes.
"heh, we though ole John was flying. You like those two wheel landings to were doing over and over?"
"eerrrmm I don't know. I thought I was just landing. Are two wheel landings bad?"
"Nah, actually they're alittle harder, especially for someone new...."
Win. Not a huge win, but a solid one as I see it.
Oh, yeah, that and I recognize more pilot errors in videos then I did a year ago. Mostly because I've experienced them in sim. I'm not saying that I wont make an error here and there, but it is easier (cheaper) to learn from other's mistakes due to simulator knowledge.
