I was in the middle of fine tuning a new color scheme for the PX-51 using an old photoshop elements when it all went south. for some unknown reason the .tga file shifted the color scheme out of sync with the RF program. Oh Well, Back to the drawing board. Does anyone know if Gimp will save files as .tga?

Gimp definitely saves as TGA.

man I hope whatever happened to your system is only a small thing. ?

Did you accidently move the layer that you paint on.....not sure if that`s possible with photoshop, but it is in Gimp. I just had the same thing happen recently, all I had to do was realign the layer and save/export, I got it real close, but not exact, so there was still some minor corrections to make.
