Fairchild PT-19

I've been looking for something to model and I think the Fairchild PT-19 is it. It's a simple plane from long ago and that seems to fit me at 76. I'm going to model it at the Seagull PT-19 ARF size with an 80 inch wingspan. I haven't started it yet, but I thought I'd start a build thread for it.

Nothing to show but I worked on the wing again this morning. I added two segments at the edge so I could get the wrap around smooth enough to use just one smoothing group for the surface of the wing. I'm taking the wife to her specialist in Dallas today so we'll be gone most of the day.

I had a little time before we left (12) so I went ahead and created the aileron and flap. Take a look and see if this is good enough. I know the flap is only on the bottom of the wing and I left out the angle and the odd crook on the inside of the flap. But is that reasonable for an RC plane?

I had a little more work to do on the wing so I finished that today. But I stopped short of detaching the aileron and flap from the wing. I have them created on the wing but haven't detached them yet. I wanted to wait until I have the fuselage done to make sure I don't want to tweak the wing before I detach them. Right now I'm kind of burnt out so I decided to take a break for a bit and do something else I need to do around the house.

OH MAN, that`s like lining up three pretty girls, and asking myself which one I like best...
That's kind of my confusion. These days everything is mostly electric, but that old plane seems to want a four-stroke sound, kind of like the real plane. And then I seen the picture of the one with a four-stroke showing out the side and at first I thought, that's it, a real RC plane look. But the more I think about it I may end up not showing an engine so people can power it the way they want with an AV, no matter how I power it. But right now I'm undecided.
