G2-XP KEError 7243 check for scratched disk

Got an ASUS MB, 2.4G Intel processor, ASUS Vid card (TI4600). This ran fine on this PC in the past. I had to format my drive, now, not so good! If I just run RF it's good to go but as soon as I try to run G2 I get the error and it locks up. Anybody got any ideas? The disk is not scratched.
 
Try copying the CD to the hard drive, only to see if it's possible to do so. If not, you have a problem with your CDROM. Or it's not compatable with the older G2 disc.
