I want to purchase and install G4.5 on my laptop which is running vista. However, I'm concern G4.5 may not work with my graphics card which meets minimum requirements or if it does work, performance may be too sluggish.

Below are specs for my laptop.

If you own a laptop running " Vista " and you have G4.5 currently installed and running, please post:
1) " your comments about G4.5"
2) pc specs
3) vista ratings

Similar to what i've done below so others can get an idea on how well G4.5 works with Vista and determine whether or not it may work on their system:

To gathter system information about your system:
Click on Start;
In search box, type one of following commands and pop-up window with system info will be displayed

1) dxdiag ( click on system tab & display tab )
2) msinfo32

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Provide something similar to that below:
G4.5 Performance: ( please state how well G4.5 runs on your system. what works and what doesn't )
Laptop Specs:
Laptop: HP Pavilion 9500T
CPU: 2.40Ghz Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB
O/S: Vista Ultimate SP1 x64
Graphics: GeForce 8600M GS ( 256 dedicated ) + ( 1791 shared ) = 1GB
Display: 17” 1440 x 900 32bit 59Hz
DirectX: 10 installed
Hard Drives: 640GB ( 320 X 2 ) 5400RPM
Vista Rating: 4.8
-----------------
Processor 5.2
Memory 4.8
Graphics 4.9
Gaming 5.3
Primary HDD 5.2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To compare my ratings above to those on your system do following:
1) click on start orb in lower left of computer screen ( left on task bar bottom of screen )
2) right click on computer; select properties
3) Window Opens ( pops-up )
4) click on Performance in lower left of that window
5) You may see ratings
6) If your system is unrated, click on “refresh “ or “ update my score “

Thanks for your cooperation and time. I believe information provided will be very benefical to those considering installing G4.5 on their laptops and possibly help those who have it installed get more out of it.

You could probably compare notes with the person who started this thread. He seems to be seeking the same info as you.
