Unknown File Format - DE .x test file

Hi Andrzej

I have the files and they are all in the correct folders etc, Thanks very much. However when I tried to create the test file and open it in Deep Exploration - DE says that it is an unknown file format, and therefore nothing shows...

What have I done wrong?? I have been over the instructions a few times.

I sent you an email before coming on to the forums.

I have tried the file association method too which triggered an update to the Cortex.exe plugin manager but needless to say that won't run either!

I cant export

I come up with a massage when I try to expert a simple object
"Scenery CFG file not found, Creating a new one"

Please help what am I doing wrong???

Going need a lot more Info on this.. What are you trying to make. That program are you exporting out of.

I know this topic is VERY old, but since I myself spent way too much time searching for a solution and found none around, I might as well share this here too;

I solved the "ERROR!! Opening MakeMdl (path/file not found)" thing by adding, as mentioned by some tutorials, the MDLCommander.exe to the Gmax/plugins folder, thus renamed to "makem.exe". Everything worked just fine after that ;)
 
most Everyone has moved on to using wings3d or Autodesks 3dsmax or both
But at least a solution to an old problem has been posted and is now in the data base ...............thanks
