Heli's from Yogi149

Hi
@Torkboy: could you please rename the Heli you modified?

And other said to me its a little bit overpowered :D

I have a problem with the t-rex micro-heli from yogi.
The tail does make short side-movements constantly every second.
Doesn´t anyone else have this issue ?

The gain is set too high in the physics.

Like a real heli this causes tail "wag".

And like a real heli, lowering the gain, causes it to stop.

I don´t get it. Even after copying all heading hold values from trex 450se(mx400)(not to forget also testing different setings) I can´t solve the problem...

The tail blades selected my not be generating the needed "lift".

Try this, change the tail blade airfoil to something rather thick, such as a NACA0024 or thicker.

That will permit the tail to have more authority.

Hi
made an "unscaled" T-Rex 600.
But have som problems with tail/gyro-parameters.
At high mainrotorspeed and high gyrogain the head wobbles terrible.
For this reason you can adjust the gyrogain with the knob.
If someone get better parameters please post here.

I announced this heli at the floater thread too, but no reaction yet

Hi

first part is resolved: the wobbling is a powerloss at main battery :(
High gain gyro -> high power input for tail.

Now I try to configure an energy pack for this bird.

Hi
downstepped to 3.5.033
it seems to run better for e-helis. :D
could someone testify the differences between the versions?

Nice helis. I am especially interested in the Chinook (my fav heli). Where can I get the file for the chinook, it doesn't matter that it isn't scale.

I love the 3D model, but this heli rotor head is unstable.

There are many problems with the physics starting with the paddle weight being far too low for stability... mixing ratios too high, etc.

The rotors vibrate until the model self destructs.

Most of this stuff is fixable, but I would need more details on the 600 including some measurements, as I don't have one.

That was it what I wrote before. I measured my 600 exactly and the flying in 042 was terrible. The only way to fly it in 042, was to change the engine to turbine or combustion. The electric version was unflyable. :(
Changing the internal resistance of the powercells was little better, but not enough.
The power is not enough if tail has heavy working, that was the reason of flying with reduced gyrogain. But then the tail was unstable.

I tried 2 days with changing parameters before the try with downstepping.
In 033 all these wobbling was gone. :D

Try to fly in 033 and take a look.

It's doing this because you can't take all of the measurements literally.

I can fix the model and make it an accurate electrically powered heli, but I need specs and figures.
