Installation Issues Realflight G3

I am attempting to install Realflight G3 on my Windows 7 64 bit computer. When I double-click on the setup application or the disc autoruns, the "thinking cursor" appears for a few seconds but then goes away and the application never runs. It shows up as a process on the task manager, but never as an open application. I'm not sure what the problem is, can anyone help???

Your computer may not be reading the disc properly.

Try dragging and dropping the entire disc contents to a local folder.

If it succeeds there is no problem reading the files.

Also you MUST right click on the setup file and select "run as administrator" with most older installers under Win7, particularly under x64.

Windows Vista included some fundamental changes to the process of installing new software. RealFlight G3 was released before Vista, meaning it was not designed specifically to work with Vista. You can still use them together; you just need to do things a certain way.

You should carefully read and follow the instructions on our G3/Windows Vista compatibility page. I know you're running Windows 7, but as far as these issues go, they are essentially the same.
