Landing Gear Switch

In the controller setup, I don't see a function for retractable landing gear. Is there a way to assign a gear switch?
 
Typically used is Ch 5, if it is enabled on the model. Swap pages planes can have it on any channel the designer decided to use. The controller setup defines what physical stick/switch controls which channel (and how). The "Software Radio" in the Aircraft Designer decides what channel controls what function for that specific plane.
 
I have a Spektrum DX9, am I supposed to be able to use all 9 channels with Realflight 9? I think I'm only able to get 6 channels mapped.

Most I was able to get with my DX9 was seven channels using an OrangeRX dongle. I've found I just prefer the Interlink DX.
 
After some messing around I was able to get 8 channels working. How many does the interlink give you? What advantage does it give you over a DX9?
