Missing Helo Graphics

When I'm using helicopters in RFD, the background graphics and the paint on the helo is gone. It is replaced with a plain white scheme. The shadows are still there, along with coloring for the basic structure, i.e. frame, engine, radio gear etc. It flys fine, but without any visual reference, it is very difficult to train on. The aircraft portion works fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Simple fix:

Go to your simulator settings and go to Direct 3d, and check the option that says "use alternate method"
