I am posting on behalf of my 80 yr old father-in-law who is recently in to RC planes, has a new Vista PC with 2 meg of memory and 320 gig harddrive, AMD motherboard, but NO internet acess. He wants to practice over the winter.
The program seems to install OK and when the USB connection is made the green light flashes on the USB Nextstar cable connection to his RC controller box. However when trying to run the program a KEError 399 "Nexstar does not appear in the Control Panel" message appears. Clicking OK exits the program.
In checking the hardware config in the control panel, Nexstar appears, but any attempt to calibrate it does nothing (it appears it is looking for a joy stick) the raw data x&y axis do not move.
Running the Direct X files from the RealFlight directory seems to be OK.
