Rf6 upgrade and windows 8

My computer died and I had to replace it with one that has WINDOWS 8 for the opsys. When I went to reload my RF I was able to load RF 4.5 okay, but when I try to use the RF 6 Upgrade disk, the computer locks up.:mad: Any known issues with the upgrade and WINDOWS 8??????
 
Yes... search this forum for more information... your question was recently asked and answered. Good luck. Not everyone is having a problem... I did not have any difficulty.
 
For what it's worth: it is not necessary to install G4.5 before installing RF6. The RF6 software is the complete standalone program. Both versions can reside on the same computer.
 
at this point, 4.5 is my only option since 6 WILLNOT load, just crashed the computer (HP Pavilion w/AMD processor).
 
Gotcha.

There are threads like 12oclock said that address your problem. Tech support should still be open, too. I f memory serves, AMD was part of the issue. Call tech support, or find those threads.
