Screen Saver method

I wasn't sure where to post this webmaster...
And it may be "old news".

I found a program on the web that uses my phone videos as screen savers!
Or however you create a video (I used .mp4).

Steps to create videos:
1) Use the record feature in the Realflight version you have.
2) Play-back the recorded video.
3) Use your phone or tablet to create another video of the play-back recording.
Hint: you can keep the Name-Tag out of the video IF your careful for near real quality!
4) Upload your video from phone/tablet to your computer (in a folder of your choice).

Next:
5) Install the RodFlashVideo onto your computer (rodflash.com v1.0 freeware).
6) Make RodFlashVideo as the screen saver (use settings to find your video).
7) Now you have your favorite RealFlight recording as a screen saver.

I have a GREAT 3D PA-360 flight (lazily rolling & floating around one of my favorite flying fields) for my screen saver!
And it looks great!

I can't wait to build a whole library of recordings!!!

Enjoy,
D

Ugh. Are you advising people to record their screen by holding their phone in front of it? That's almost as bad as using Comins Sans

I'd recommend using Fraps or Bandicam..

Video method

The video creation method isn't important, you missed the signs!

What's important is creating a nice screen saver using any method you feel comfortable using.

My experience with a screen capture software was "choppy", and 1/4 of the frames were missing because the capture frame-rate was too slow.

I'll try the capture software you suggested.

Thanks,
D

Realflight 3 and 4 both included a screensaver on the CD.

Most people missed this since it was not advertised nor installed by default.

That previous page no longer exists (obviously), but the old screensaver is available for direct download.

I haven't tried it in years. Microsoft may or may not have made sweeping changes to how screensavers work since then. It is released as is.

Enjoy!
