Maybe

you could do with this one, since it is as close as you can come without making an entire plane, with just minor differences in between the two. Why reinvent the wheel.

I was thinking the same thing herc
and I've never have tried it myself
but isn't it possible to add turbines to a movable pod
there by giving it "vectored thrust"?
of course it would not be visible in the sim
but it would then fly more like an SU-34....just a thought

Sorry I'm kind of picky, but turbine TV and Ducted Fan TV and different. Electric is more jerky, and quickly goes back to flying straight. Gas TV has slower effect. I'm trying to get a Su-34 from art-tech via banana-hobby, and I'm sorry, but I kind of want to be picky.

so you want ducted fan...
no problem, just take the plane from mikey there, scale it to size, then under the editor, just select engine as (is there a ducted fan) if not just put internal combustion engine and selece OS .91 ducted fan (maybe that is a soung thing... its been a long time)... but regardless, it can be done... just look at one of my planes

I think

That it would be the way to go. I don't think anyone will create this model when we have these 2 beauties on the the swaps. And the one in question has only suttle changes to the original design.

just ask herc, pplace, or wilsonman to help you lengthing the tail, add the "beautiful head", scale 'er down, and spice 'er up

theres no denyin... the Soviets got style when it comes to fighters

picky , picky.......ducted fan ,turbine ,electric ,internal combustion.......my point was that you could add any one of them to a movable pod for vectored thrust ......
ya the soviets have a certain flare for originality
like the Tupolev 144 their version of the space shuttle , the Mig 15........etc.

That's a cool little foamy EDF.

I wonder why they didn't go with a full boat "flying tail".

It's sort of silly to not have a flying tail, but then include vector thrust nozzles.

In a more perfect world the flying tail and the canards would have been full articulated.

yeah, this is looking like it can be possible, all you have to do is just tweak the tail and the nose a bit and put in that ducted fan and viola

If your looking for something with flying canards and full tail controls then look no farther than the RCLander Rafale, you can even buy a vectored thrust system for it.I have the F-16 and its great.I think i will make the F-16 with vectored thrust for my next project.Go and check out the website.
