Sun

I do not seem to be able to adjust the sun on G3.5 I really do not want to bother with it. I want to see the plane perfectly. I press H and go to the control menu. If I press shift and home I adjust the wind. I cannot adjust the sun. Anyway to make the background uniform and bright?

I think the combo is alt key, plus one of the home, end, pgup or pgdn keys. Try them all, I'm going from memory here.

if you go to simulation, and scrol down the options, there is noe option that adjusts the sun, and it gives the key commands to raise or lower the sun.

In the editor it works with photo feilds but only 3D objects are effected as shown here. Thats one of my best screen shots!

Yes... you can do it that way, but this effectively conflicts with the static background photo.

On most properly done photofields, the virtual "sun" is positioned to correspond to the light source of the background photo.

Attempting to adjust a static photo field ruins the effects of shadowing, etc.

This is yet another reason I favor the 3D fields instead.... as they do not have this limitation...

Of course 3D fields are far more taxing on the computer system too.
