The difference of gyro and afs gyro

There are two type of gyro，such as gyro and afs gyro，in RF‘s electronics.could you tell me what is their difference？ what aerocraft should use gyro or afs gyro?thanks

Gyros are rate controlling devices. Degrees per second. If you command 15 degrees per second. The gyro will increase the throw untill it sees that number. If it sees more it reduces the throw until the number matches. The gain controls how aggresive the gyro is at correcting errors.

AFS Gyros are an auto leveling device. The gyros throw depends on the planes attitude toward level flight. The yaw axis does not work. The gyro gain determines the amplitude of the throw per degree off level.
