Unlockable Content

I may be missing something obvious but having used RF for over 6-hours I still only have the originally loaded aircraft visible to select.
According to the "blurb" by playing for either 2 and/or 4 hours I should have unlocked a number of additional aircraft etc.

Is there something I should do to release the extra aircraft?

I'm assuming the required gameplay is 2 or 4 hours in total and not on each of the initialy available aircraft that were available upon installation.

Any help / advice welcome

I am not familar with a "blurb" to unlock additional aircraft In the trainer version of Realflight. Where did you read this information? I know that in Realflight Evolution if you complete the challenges, you can unlock special aircraft.

The aircraft available to use in the Trainer version are the following:
  • Blade 230 S V2 Helicopter with SAFE® Technology
  • E-flite Apprentice® STS 1.5m with SAFE Technology
  • E-flite Habu STS 70mm EDF Jet with SAFE Technology
  • HobbyZone Carbon Cub S with SAFE Technology
  • HobbyZone AeroScout™ S with SAFE Technology
  • HobbyZone Sport Cub S with SAFE Technology
To "unlock" additional aircraft would be an upgrade to Realflight Evolution. There are 300 Aircraft in Evolution and several thousand more available on the Swap Pages If you choose to upgrade. You get a discount too.

The "blurb" from the RF website:

This updated version* also includes additional features including nearly two dozen “Next Step After a Trainer” aircraft and variants plus 4 flying sites/fields that are unlockable reward content after you fly the trainer models for just 2–4 hours

It does say that if you have the Trial version you won't be able to unlock those aircraft but you can still receive the 1.5 update. So if you don't have the Trial version then I would suggest contacting support about that issue.

The information  is on the RF website (on the page detailing the Trainer Edition), that's where I copied it from.

I have the full ( paid for) version of RF Trainer Edition.

However, whilst playing the game again yesterday afternoon a number of notifications "flashed up" announcing the unlocking of the additional content (2-hour version).

So, although I have used the game for in excess of 7-hours, I have now got access to the additional models/flying sites as described in the (2-hour) release.

Not sure, therefore, how the qualifying time is calculated for release of the "unlockable content" but it does appear at some point.

Those rewards require 2 and 4 hours of actual flight time, meaning time in the air, which is very different than time spent running the software.

An achievement is awarded for each. You can view your Steam achievements to see how much progress you've made toward those goals.

Also I have recently unlocked all the hidden content in RFTE! just be patient. If need be lust throttle up and let your aircraft sore for the 4 hours.
