60% HpH Glasflügel 304 CZ
Based on the RF-97 scale sailplane from EP5, this Giant Scale version references an HpH Glasflügel 304 CZ. At about 60% of scale, wingspan on this giant is 30 ft., with a total weight of almost 78 lbs. Controls are the same as the RF-97, with the addition of a visual water ballast dump on the 3-position switch, closest position is "off". This variant was designed for the Sierra Nevada Cliff location, can stay aloft in just 8 mph of wind, and flies capably in winds exceeding 30 mph. Optimal performance is achieved when wind speeds are between 15-25 mph, depending on your personal style of flight.
Note: From the Sierra Cliff's default ground roll-in, immediate left rudder is required to clear the bushes. Steer left, level the wings, and roll-in.
