North American F-100 Super Sabre.

The North American F-100 Super Sabre was a supersonic jet fighter aircraft that served with the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1971 and with the Air National Guard until 1979. The first of the Century Series collection of USAF jet fighters, it was the first USAF fighter capable of supersonic speed in level flight. The F-100 was originally designed by North American Aviation as a higher performance follow-on to the F-86 Sabre air superiority fighter.

Adapted as a fighter bomber, the F-100 would be supplanted by the Mach 2 class F-105 Thunderchief for strike missions over North Vietnam. The F-100 flew extensively over South Vietnam as the Air Force's primary close air support jet until replaced by the more efficient subsonic LTV A-7 Corsair II. The F-100 also served in other NATO air forces and with other U.S. allies. In its later life, it was often referred to as "the Hun," a shortened version of "one hundred."

Thanks to Mark(Inky00)England for the 3d model.

This alternate view aircraft is of the BVM F100-D. BVM for those of you who don't know refers to the well known Bob Violett Models, found at http://www.bvmjets.com/

This alternate view aircraft has a wingspan of 6.01 feet and a weight of 29.6 pounds.

Various adjustments for excellent flight performance in RF 7.5. Jet engine specs modified to match the JetCat P140-RX engine.

Flight controls include throttle, rudder, elevator, ailerons, landing flaps, speed brake, wheel brakes, retractable landing gear, drop tank release, bomb release.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

The channel 5 “Low” position lowers the speed brake.

Flaps are on channel 6.

Retractable landing gear is on channel 7.

The channel 8 three position switch handles the drop tank and bomb release. This switch operates backwards to what we are used to. Fly with the switch positioned farthest away from you. The middle position releases the drop tank, and the position closest to you releases the bombs. I looked into changing this switch around but because of the complexity of the radio setup decided it was best to leave it as is.

The wheel brakes are activated via down elevator.

This model aircraft has excellent flight characteristics. Flies well with or without drop tank and bombs. Easy landings when using the flaps and speed brake. This model is sure to appeal to the jet jockeys out there.
