***START WITH DUAL RATES OFF*** Reverse prop pitch is active with Ch. 5 dual rates "on" or up.
This 1/5th scale high performance C-130 AV incorporates variable pitch propeller blades that are tuned to increase pitch with increased throttle. After landing, during roll-out, the pitch can be reversed by activating the CH. 5 Dual Rates switch (up position). Reverse thrust (throttle up) working together with full brakes (down elevator) will produce scale short-field stops like the real-world C-130.
To compensate for no dual-rate control surfaces, larger throws with more EXPO are used. The result is an airframe that can be flown well-within a scale envelope, including scale top speed. At full throttle and full control deflection, however, this large and powerful airframe shows a bit of muscle.
Flaps are functional on the Ch. 6 knob
Cargo doors are closed with 3-position switch up, middle position lowers the cargo ramp portion partially. Away or down position will fully open the ramp and open the overhead cargo door.
