Another version of the venerable Curtiss Jenny, in post war (1919) Army Green....if you bought a surplus Jenny from the government in the 1920's, this is how she came straight out of the crate. Olive Drab Green.
The one here is copied from the old Lindburgh kit (the model company, not the pilot!) built many moons ago....
Old "34190" has been hanging from several ceilings since me and dad put her together in 1972...I added the 20th Bombardment Squadron ID in recognition of a gift I received from a neighbor at that time...
Carol Severs was an Aircraft Engine Mechanic with the 20th Bombardment Squadron, Langley Field VA the 1930's...he gave me his old training manual titled "War Department TM 2170-13", dated Feb 21, 1931, because he though I might like the pictures...and thats how my love affair with Jenny began.
Thank you Mr. Severs!
Many thanks to Technoid for the beautiful EA and superbly laid out C/S that makes these variations possible.
