Dassault MD.450 Ouragon (“Hurricane”).

The Dassault MD.450 became France's first home grown operational, jet powered, military combat fighter, eventually being produced in several hundred examples during her active tenure. While not a wholly exceptional "fighter" when compared to her contemporaries, the type served particularly well in the fighter-bomber role and saw extensive combat actions with India, El Salvador, and Israel. Though she was eventually superseded by improved platforms, her impact on the re-established French aviation industry was permanent and gave rise to the respected Dassault name.

Thanks to “thegibson” for the model and colour scheme.

Various refinements for good performance in RF 7.5.

The model's jet engine was upgraded to JetCat P-80SE specifications.

Flight controls include throttle, rudder, ailerons, elevator, landing flaps, retractable landing gear, wheel brakes, and air brake.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

Landing flaps are on channel 6.

Retracts are on channel 7.

The air brake is on channel 8. Fly with the switch positioned closed to you. Toggling to the middle position partially engages the air brake, and the position furthest from you fully engages the air brake.

Wheel brakes are engaged with down elevator.

This is a well done, sharp looking jet model. It has pleasant handling characteristics which make it easy to fly. Nice landings when using full flaps and the speed brake. This model is sure to please the jet jockeys out there.
