McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle.

The McDonnell Douglas (now merged with Boeing) F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter designed by McDonnell Douglas to gain and maintain air superiority in aerial combat. It is among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 aerial combat victories.

The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and entered service in 1976. The Eagle has since been exported to Israel, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, among other nations. The F-15 was originally envisioned as a pure air superiority aircraft. Its design included a secondary ground-attack capability that was largely unused. The design proved flexible enough that an all-weather strike derivative, the F-15E Strike Eagle, was later developed, entering service in 1989. The F-15 Eagle is expected to be in service with the U.S. Air Force past 2025. Newer models are still being produced for foreign users. The F-15 production line is set to end in 2019, 47 years after the type's first flight.

Thanks to “mwilson914” for the fabulous model. I'd like to extend a thanks to all color scheme contributors for this model as well. These color schemes are all very good.

Various model adjustments for excellent flight performance in RF 7.5.

Flight controls include throttle, rudder, elevator, ailerons, wheel brakes, air brake, landing flaps, bomb drop, and opening canopy.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

The channel 5 “Low” position activates the air brake.

Flaps are on channel 6.

Retracts are on channel 7.

For channel 8, fly with the switch positioned in the center position. Toggling to the position closest to you opens the canopy. Toggling to the position farthest from you drops the bombs.

Wheel brakes are engaged by applying down elevator.

This is a superb model both in looks and flight characteristics. Definitely a high “Wow” factor to it. Easy handling and flies very well with or without bomb load. Just about lands itself when using the flaps and air brake. For the jet jockeys out there this is a definite “must have” addition to your RealFlight hangar.
