Fiat CR 42 Falco ("Falcon").

The Fiat CR.42 was the last of the Fiat biplane fighters to enter WW II front line service as a fighter, and represented the epitome of the type.

The Fiat CR 42 Falco ("Falcon") was a sesquiplane which served as the primary fighter aircraft of Italy's Regia Aeronautica at the outbreak of World War II.

Developed from the successful CR.32, an aircraft that did so well in the Spanish Civil War, the CR. 42 was the last new build biplane fighter from any of the major powers. Of mixed construction, it had a metal tubular frame covered in fabric with the forward section covered in sheet metal. It was also a commercial success being ordered and used by Sweden, Belgium, and Hungary as well as the Italian Air Force. Though obsolete when it first flew, the CR.42 continued in production throughout the war with later versions being used by Luftwaffe night fighter units.

Various modifications for RealFlight 7.5 to get very good model biplane flight characteristics. Has a correct 3 blade propeller.

The usual controls plus ailerons. No landing flaps or retractable landing gear.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

This is a fairly nice flying biplane which does easy landings.
