Turbo Raven.

An aerobatic airplane (performance weight of 1,900 pounds) with a positive thrust-to-weight ratio was a dream come true for airshow performer Wayne Handley. In 1998, he turned that dream into a goal and succeeded in producing a one-of-a-kind show plane. With a 750 HP turboprop engine producing 2,800 pounds of thrust, the Oracle Turbo Raven was able to go straight up, stop, and go straight up again. The Turbo Raven was truly state of the art. Its airframe was made entirely of composite material. The optimization of performance was the design goal in every construction decision while making the Turbo Raven as strong and as light as possible.

On October 3, 1999, one year to the day that the Oracle Turbo Raven had been on the airshow circuit, Wayne was involved in a tragic accident while performing in the Turbo Raven at the California International Airshow. He made a complete recovery, but the aircraft was a total loss.

Thanks to Mark (Inky00) England for the 3D model and colour scheme.

Various modifications for RF 7.5 to obtain good model flight performance.

As usual fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

5 channel flight controls with smoke on channel 7. No landing flaps.

This is a higher performance aircraft with pleasant flying characteristics. Capable of nice 3 point landings.
