The Select Controller Editor layouts for Spektrum Reciever are wrong, misleading, and||or inconsistent; the Spektrum Controller layouts do not match the WS2000 DX8G2 input receiver channels in number, function, nor direction.
Simply put, the controller channels do not match the input receiver channels in function (often) nor in number, nor in direction... often they need to be reversed (like the ailerons, for instance).
The layout in the editor is obviously not correct, but it cannot be changed. This confusion gets worse; under the covers the text file that maintains the layout also has inconsistencies: for instance, the ailerons show on channel 2 (they really are on channel 1). The elevator shows on channel 1 (it really is on channel 2). The Gear does not show on channel (5).
The DX8G2 can be setup to get around the inconsistencies in the Spektrum controller layouts: (see the following link for directions)
