crashes on start. zooms into jet and then crashes at the same spot every time.

realflight trainer does not work with taranis x7

Your laptop is using the built-in graphics of the i7 CPU, and not the Nvidia card. You can disable the Intel one in Device Manager (under Display Adaptors), so the computer always only uses the Nvidia card. Very, very common issues - the computer has the card, but the manufacturer did not adjust things to have it actually use the card.
Or you can attempt to see if the "beta" fix for the CPU can be made to work with the Intel graphics (https://forums.realflight.com/index.php?threads/intel-igpu-beta-fix-feedback-thread.57856/). Unclear as to whether this will work the the Trainer version or not. And if it does, you still aren't using the Nvidia graphics for anything, so pointless to have it....
