During my tour at Columbus AF Base in Ms. I met and spoke with several pilots in training and there were actually 2 different T-37 versions. The one that gave them the most trouble was the one fitted with a 'Bird Resistant windshield canopy. It would throw off their perception of the planes height just before touching down resulting in a 'Hard' landing. MY GOD! those things were NOISY on the flight line.
