Cessna T-37 Tweet (Cessna 318).

The Cessna T-37 Tweet (designated Model 318 by Cessna) is a small, economical twin-engined jet trainer-attack type aircraft which flew for decades as a primary trainer for the United States Air Force (USAF) and in the air forces of several other nations.

The T-37 served as the U.S. Air Force's primary pilot training vehicle for over 52 years after its first flight. After completing Primary in the Tweet, students moved on to other advanced Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Allied trainers. 1,269 Cessna T-37s were built. The USAF retired its last T-37 in 2009.

Thanks to “crashed again” for the model.

Various refinements for good model flight performance in RF 7.5, including upgrading the jet engine to JetCat P140-RX specifications.

Flight controls include rudder, ailerons, landing flaps, speed brake, retractable landing gear, opening canopy.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position. The “Low” position opens the canopy.

The speed brake is on channel 6.

Retracts are on channel 7.

Two position landing flaps are on channel 8. Fly with the switch positioned closest to you. Switching to the middle position slightly lowers the flaps, and the position farthest from you lowers them completely.

This model jet has pleasant, easy handling flight characteristics. Nice landings with or without flaps. The speed brake is quite effective in slowing the aircraft, but doesn't need to be used for landings. This is a sharp looking jet worth adding to your collection.
