Wow pretty awesome work asj5547 I read thru the whole thread -is this really your 1st modeling project?
I'm the guy who started the thread, and if I modeled it, it would have been my first modeling project. @asj5547 is one of the prolific modelers on this forum. he's really awesome.Wow pretty awesome work asj5547 I read thru the whole thread -is this really your 1st modeling project?
Sorry my mistake! I was pretty sure the modeler had prior experience judging by the level of detail.I'm the guy who started the thread, and if I modeled it, it would have been my first modeling project. @asj5547 is one of the prolific modelers on this forum. he's really awesome.
Here is the first model I ever made.Wow pretty awesome work asj5547 I read thru the whole thread -is this really your 1st modeling project?
I definitely agree. @asj5547 is doing such an amazing job.I've been following along, and I think Chitty Chitty is one of the most awesome and original creations anyone has done on Swap pages. I am looking forward to when its finished. Can't wait!! The detail is top notch.
This is HILARIOUS !I had a crazy idea today, out of the blue, that someone (maybe me?) could make the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car as an RC model. I figured it was too crazy to even mention, but then I just now Googled it, and it turns out some people are as crazy as I am!
This is not a request. It's just a fun comment to to see what your reaction is to such silliness.

true, but look how wonderfully-serious it's been taken since I posted that almost 1.5 years ago! This is HILARIOUS !
Seriously, I'd download it and have a BALL!true, but look how wonderfully-serious it's been taken since I posted that nearly 1.5 years ago!
I just noticed that your two screenshots from 3ds Max showed the wingtip rotors facing forward. that looks cool!To show the light lens in 3dsmax I still have to map the model and make the tga file, then apply the tga to the model in max to see the effect, here are a couple of screenshots in max, that way we can see the result before we export out of max and import into RF.
oh definitely yesSeriously, I'd download it and have a BALL!
I just watched this video again. it's so magical to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying like a real aircraft as opposed to how unrealistically it flew in the movie. Here is a video of the Chitty Chitty Bang bang model, it fly's but is still a work in progress.
he probably knows that already. the reason I say that is not only because he's so conscientious and dedicated, but he also said this in that same post:ABSOLUTLY Love it!!!!!! The only thing I would change, just my opinion is the sound. It is such a classic from an old era a sound from back then would be great! If only the sound from the movie were available, I think that would be the cherry on the top!!!!! Again love it!

DEFINITELY needs a FPV camera from the driver's seat.Sweet, that is so cool. I'm trying to visualize myself sitting in the drivers seat gracefully gliding over an English countryside.
ooooh good idea.DEFINITELY needs a FPV camera from the driver's seat.
