This is a Real Flight 7.0 model of the powered version of the Mod Pod, designed by Harley Michael and later manufactured by Dumas Products.
It was originally presented in the May 1970 issue of American Aircraft Modeler.

As stated in the construction article, "Glide will be surprisingly flat and faster than you expect."
