Fairchild PT-19

I finished updating both the blue-yellow and silver color schemes with the final colors, so I guess I'm finished with the PT-19. But I haven't reinstalled steam and RealFlight EVO since my hard drive failed so I need to do that before I can release it.

There is a bug in the beta version that shows a small rotating gray square down the center of the fuselage when the plane is moving very slowly (when either of the hubcaps is enabled). @rcdoski reported it and helped me fix it so be sure to get the final version when I release it. There will be a 4STROKE and EP version at release. The Fairchild PT-19 is now a 4STROKE version and there will be a Fairchild PT-19 EP too. Since the Fairchild PT-19 is now a 4STROKE version I would use Manage User Files and "delete" the beta version if you imported it before you import the released version. Thanks @rcdoski for reporting it and finding out how to duplicate it. I never seen it because I never used the hubcaps, so without your help the plane would have been released with the bug.

I put a fresh copy of the new Silver CS on both of the PT-19 versions to make sure everything was okay with them. Then I backed up both the EP and 4STROKE versions on the two external drives I use for backup. Hopefully I can remember to do that all the time to make sure I don't loose anything like when my hard drive failed.

  I think they`ll be about the same, but I`ll go with the 4 stroke.
It's only been released one day but there is 14 downloads for the EP version and 22 downloads for the 4STROKE version. I'm happy I went ahead and created the 4STROKE version before release. I also just updated the compatible version list in the EP and 4STROKE EAs to include RF 7.5. I tested them this morning.

Hello technoid,

I am a silent reader of your posts and I have followed the development of your PT-19 with great interest.
When you published your model on the swap page, I downloaded it immediately.
I would like to congratulate you wholeheartedly and thank you for doing this work.
It's a great model and fantastic to fly, very well balanced.

At some point I will try to make a 3D model (I work with 3d Max) and configure it for RF. If you allow, I would ask for your help if I need it.
But I'm not there yet.

Congratulations again and best regards from Austria.

Thanks. I'm glad to hear you're having fun with the plane. And I'll be happy to help when you start working on a plane, and there's a couple of other modelers that I'm sure will help too.
