For those that have already looked at the picture in my beta post I just updated the picture with a new one that shows the area in the back of the canopy where I painted it black. Before there was a small area right at the back of the canopy that was still yellow. It looks nicer with that area filled in correctly.

The PT-19 had 4-Stroke and EP versions so I went back this morning and created a new project for the PT-26 EP. It wasn't hard to do since the only thing I needed to do is rename all the files and update the name of the materials in the 3d file. So now I have PT-26 and PT-26 EP versions. I'm not sure when I'll release them.

Personal choice, and it's okay. But FWIW, if you look at many images of full scale PT-26 airplanes that area in the rearmost section is painted the same as the rest of the fuselage. :)

Yes, I noticed that. But the real plane I modeled my CS after has that area painted black, that's why I mentioned it looked better after I painted it black. I did make a couple of personal tweaks.

And there you have it, lol :p

I have flown the PT-26 now and I really like it. I am amazed by all the camera angles too. I think it flies really well, but the rudder is a little strong for my taste. Great for ground handling though.

Flight physics is hard to do because each person has a different flying style. For me the rudder works well because I like hammer head stalls. Out of curiosity what did you set the throws to for the main surfaces.

I went ahead and tweaked the PT-26 color scheme. I started out with the PT-19 color scheme and modified a few things to make the PT-26 color scheme, but I took a few short cuts, so I went back and fixed them.

Initially I used the same size and placement for all the numbers and just changed the number from 48 to 49. But the number on the nose of the real PT-26 was smaller and raised up to the top front corner. And the "boldness" of the numbers was less too, so they looked a little too thick. And the PT-26 didn't have numbers on the vstab they were below the hstab. So here's what I did.

1. Made the numbers "less bold".
2. Made the front number smaller and moved it to the top front corner.
3. Moved the number from the vstab to below the hstab and made it the correct number.

I have not adjusted anything. I like the way it flies. I just regulate rudder input.
Oh, okay. I was flying it and figured I could turn the rudder down maybe 2 percent if that would make a big difference to you. Is there anyone else that thinks the rudder is a bit strong? You do have to be careful with it doing coordinated turns.
